Method
This test is intended to test rice for the absence of LL601.
PCR Testing – Rice is grouped into "pools" (30,000 seed in 1000 seed pools). DNA is extracted from ground material and tested for the presence of specific DNA sequences utilized with LL601 gene insertion.
What is Reported
PCR Testing - The number of "pools" with positive or negative results for the specific LL601 DNA sequence and the total number of seed tested, are reported of the submitted sample.
Value of Results
Adventitious Presence testing provides the client with an estimated level of qualitative "Yes" or "No" unintended LL601 GMO event in the sample.
